Mr. Rofik Sungkar is a Partner at LGS and one of the Firm’s specialists in litigation. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Indonesia. Prior joining the Firm, Mr. Sungkar spent a year at Legal Aid Foundation in Jakarta. Mr. Sungkar’s main practices involve litigation, debt restructuring and general corporate law. Some of his major clients include PT Astra International, IBRA, PricewaterhouseCoopers, PT Unilever Indonesia and Goldman Sachs. Several major case in which he participated include, representing BPPN in cessie case of PT Bank Bali, Tbk and management of PT Bank Bali Tbk by Standard Chartered Bank; represented PriceWaterHouseCoopers in civil case in case of submission of financial report of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia to United States Securities & Exchange Commission; represented PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk in many litigation cases and represented Goldman Sachs in conjunction with the objection of the competition regulator (KPPU) concerning the Sale of two crude oil carriers to Frontline by Pertamina. He is a member of IKADIN from 2003 to 2009. Mr. Sungkar speaks Bahasa Indonesia and English.
